Not cool, bro.

Obvz it was sarcasm, as evidenced by the rest of my post.

First of all, the correct answer is Wondolowski.

Second, the love for Juan on here is fun and he's good, but guys, chill the frick out. He's 18. He didn't even start for NYRB last year until the playoffs when they had some injuries up top. Jozy has scored in big games for us. He's top dog right now.

Actually, Dempsey is when he's up top, but yeah.

See. I NOT DUM.

Jozy did start today, nice.

Here is the video and a quicker link to that past link

ETA: That touch and pass to eventually draw the red was nice. Also, his one time shot was pure class too.

Nice link. Altidore looks from a physical standpoint like Lawrence Taylor playing agianst high school kids. The first goal was Jozy BEASTMODE.

Thanks for the condensed game. Altidore had a great game today. His teammates, the wingers especially, are really skilled on the ball.

and his pass set up the PK

Very solid match from Jozy. Two shots on goal prior to his two goals and as you pointed out a perfectly weighted pass to set up the penalty.

He loves that shot outside the box. Identical to his Gold Cup goal.

Agreed. Unfortunately, since Beasley, Lewis, Convey, etc left the US set up, we haven't had any "down the wing" players.

You can't rely on your outside backs to do that and get service, because the time it takes for them to overlap invites defenders.

All of our outside players (Dempsey, Donovan, Bedoya... even Feilhaber, Kljestan and Holden are "cut in .

You'd think as good as Jozy and Dempsey are with the head, we'd play that style more often.

Yep. He hit it well, just right at the keeper.

...and both of those wings for AZ looked really good.

Hey douchebag,

With three goals in his first 137 minutes of play for fifth-place AZ, Altidore has already topped his league goal output for the last two full seasons with Hull City, Villarreal and Bursaspor.

Shame on me for looking for other options than a striker who wasn't scoring goals.

Jozy scored 3 goals in 49 appearances in Europe prior to moving over to Alkmaar. Why am I the idiot for doubting a player with such a shitty strike rate?

This is such a positive thing.
So what if Agudelo is only 18, if you can play, you can play. It's a young man's sport, that's for certain. Messi is how old? Pele was only 18 in 1958 and turned the world on its head.

First few US goals were headers.

He was more than serviceable in the air with Red Bull.
