Maybe the NASL should pay more money, build nicer stadiums, and get better tv deals.

I could be wrong but I read somewhere that, going by the new population criteria many epl clubs would not exist, including the manchester clubs.
i don't know if that's true or not though.

London and Birmingham are the only two cities in the UK with a municipal population over one million. I'm sure Manchester and Glasgow have around a million in their metropolitan population.
Hell Burnley only has a population of 73k people.

the new rules are bogus is what i'm getting at. and the nasl has a pretty good argument.

It's pathetic that the best football Birmingham can offer is Aston Villa.
As far as the NASL, it's all about FC Edmonton.

MLS outgrew the old rules. The NASL should be more worried about the USL passing them up and less worried about something that wasn't going to happen anyway.

Meh, I don't think so. I think those kind of guidelines aren't too far fetched to be the top level soccer league in the US.
