Same.

Sucks having to cheer for two shitty arse teams. Zenit and he USMNT both blow arse.

I've never been a huge USMNT guy outside of World Cup years. I can say now I'm way more invested in Atlanta United now than the national team.

Club soccer is way more fun to watch for me than national team soccer. The World Cup and Euro and all that are awesome, and I enjoy it, but I'd much rather watch the Champions League or the big European leagues.

Brother a man can only take so much. After Arsenal's late banter era, I tried to believe that at least one of my teams could be successful at one point in time, which would in effect cancel out the disappointment. That hilarious/disappointing things have happened to each of my teams within a single sporting year? It's too much. The same disappointment drove Goethe to write The Sorrows of Young Werther; I have nothing else to do but to write a masterpiece of my own, The Pathetic Titty, about a breast implant that deflates in the bosom of a young transsexual.

Leeds basically raped me of my exuberance. A fitting, early baptism. Though it may have to hold LSU Footballs beer now.

I take Arsenal's insolence at the moment as the universe's revenge for becoming a bandwagon fan due to the skull-frick stylings of Thierry Henry. That my uncle lived in London at the time and sent me all sorts of related trinkets compounded my bandwagon situation. Now, 14 years later, I'm like a battered woman whose titty has indeed deflated.

Just watching Leeds burn get releg— //cough promoted twice, administration, fire sale, public embarrassments, etc all within like a 5 year span was like exposing a 12 y/o amish polygamist child to endless hardcore pr0n.

I'm entitled after the noughties, which was a good decade for my teams. Need to get use to being mediocre.

I'm also in the camp of not having a favorite team. The USMNT is what drew me to soccer, and they are hands down my favorite sports team now. I do watch as many games as I can (including the 6am weekenders if it's a big matchup) but I'll usually choose a game with an American playing first.

I’m there.
One reason I don’t post here hardly ever is because the over the top fandom of people who have never been to England and probably could find “their” club in a map

Cute

But there have been plenty of posters who have seen their club play in England

If you posted here more often you'd probably realize how wrong that statement is.

Yep. RM for me, because Real Oviedo still hasn't come close to becoming top flight again.

Spain, all the way, however.

I’m year to year, have some clubs I prefer over others, but am not loyal to any particular club.
