So many people just say "his tactics were shite" yaddee yadda but never can expand on anything.

Post it here. What did he get wrong?

For the record, I think we did a lot wrong in the second half but I'm curious to see what you think before I post my thoughts

We shouldn’t have played the game in Mexico.

his subs

clearly going into a bunker in the second half almost like he was playing for pens after the 55min

300 million people and that was the 11 we fielded.

Subs were arse, and played way too conservatively and allowed Mexico to regroup after the first 10 minutes. Bradley sucks now so our central midfield was a blackhole particularly in the 2nd half, but that is more of a personnel issue.

Unless Boyd is hurt....not throwing Boyd on chasing a goal is criminal. A tricky winger who can draw fouls and rip shots. Don’t care what else Boyd is bad at, you’re down 1 with 10 left you throw him on.

the lack of any type of pressing on the ball and the mexican back line which looked shaky in the first half

We tried to play out of the back more in the second half.

Bradley sucks now

Don't think he sucks but I also hate the lone center mid unless you have someone like Busquets

We had a bank of 4 up about 20 yards past the midfield line a bunch. Mexico broke it beautifully and with ease several times.

He tactically put together a shite roster
Altidore tactically shite the bed one on one with the GK
when we tried to play possession we looked very unsure and were woefully inaccurate with our passing
Bradley needs to tactically go home and don’t come back
How about that?

It's not anything new and he's obviously older now but he has continually nosedived since leaving Serie A. He looked like he was running in lead in the second half and obviously he gave it away multiple times in his own 3rd while not under duress. It's sad to see.

No Djordge

Just kidding

Sort of

Bradley and Weston definitely weren’t on the same page

Would have liked to have seen our 2/3 playing higher

We used a 4-4-2 defensive shape, which meant that Pizarro could find pockets of space, and drive with the ball at his feet, which he did to great effect. Martino switched Pizarro to the opposite flank, and we couldn't deal with someone drifting around our CM's, who still had their opposite numbers to deal with in addition to Pizarro.

We sat a little too deep too. Not enough active pressing. Maybe this is what Berhalter sought to counter by introducing Zardes and Roldan. The left side was where we were having problems, but Berhalter did nothing to fix those issues.

He played very well in a few games in this tournament. Athletic midfields give him trouble now that he's older. He still covers an obscene amount of ground but he just does it slower now

Look, I don’t watch much soccer outside of stuff like this and the World Cup. But every time I’ve seen Bradley for US he’s pretty terrible and it stands out.

I mean wtf

we also pressured the Mexican back 4 into a ton of frick ups

that led to some of our chances

It didn't seem like we were pressing as a unit, or in groups, save for a few occasions I remember. The inconsistent pressing is what allowed Mexico to break the press, not the press itself, I'd argue.
