I'm trying to figure out how Mertesacker is still employed by Arsenal. I mean hell the fans and the media go in on him over and over....he is the whipping boy yet Arsenal continue to keep him around. At least they don't trot him out there on the pitch much

I'll admit I'm not in touch greatly with Arsenal but it seems like any time the dude is mentioned its not in a good light
....I could be wrong. ETA I'm guessing the blind guy won't be happy with Per running the academy
