Announcer said they checked with some official and they said had he taken contact and gone down it would have been a red card and penalty

They stated, if you try to trip someone on purpose then it is a penalty regardless of contact. Now who is stupid enough to be blieve a GK tried to trip someone "on purpose" in the penalty area ? That is BS.
He tried to go after the ball, missed it and avoided contact because Remey thought he had an easy goal (he did) but he triped on the landing. I am not buying the studio boys opinin. Only an idiot would claim a GK tried to trip someone on purpose in the penalty box.

it would have been a penalty at least... Do i think its a red card? maybe. Last defender and goal scoring opportunity, but as much as chelsea gets hated on I've yet to hear some kudos for a player trying to play through what most would have gone down for.
