FC Cincinnati gonna get the Supporters Shield and will choke against Chicago or some crap. FCC gonna spank Messi for the second time in 10 days. Messi gets every break under the sun.

And now Ft Lauderdale is melting down that MLS dared enforce the one game suspension against them. What an injustice they have to abide by some rules!

I think it’s comedy that Messi and Alba got banned, but infuriating because FCC choked and played to a draw.

What’s up with MLS getting absolutely owned in match 1 in the League Cup?

MLS squads have no depth because of the salary cap rules. IMO the best starting 11's in MLS can be competitive straight up against most LigaMX starting 11's, but once you get 70' in the lack of bench takes over.

In general I would agree.

Looking at the Monterrey Cincinnati game the lineups are very different, including bench.

Monterrey’s starting lineup is worth $44 million to Cincinnati’s $40 million. Almost half of Cincinnati’s value is from Evander at 17.5.

Total bench valuation for Monterrey is $29 million to Cincinnati’s 7.5.

The Sounders just curb stomped Cruz Azul. 7-0. All 7 goals in second half. That was a wild half with some awesome goals

Six different goal scorers. The seventh goal might be the best I’ve ever seen by an MLS player.

It’s 8-5-5 now

What a showing tonight.

Seattle’s starting 11 was worth $37.5 mil to Cruz Azul’s $58 mil.

Guadalajara NYRB was 45 mil to 11 mil

VAR should have ruled out the first Seattle goal. Clear shove with arm extended by an attacking player right in front of the player who scored. Can argue that freed up the goal scorer to play the ball unchallenged. Frankly, the referee should have called it in real time. I’m calling that foul at every level I officiate including college and adult amateur.

So Seattle wins 6-0 instead? Might you be a closet Liga MX fan?

No I’m a USSF certified official that knows that crew may have had a very uncomfortable post-match meeting with their referee delegate.

Clearly VAR didn’t think it was a foul at the professional level. I respectfully disagree.

Why would var not reverse it? All goals are reviewed.

Is Club America even taking this tournament serious

Messi out with a Hammy, nice. Would not be surprised for the Cash Cow to give the middle finger to MLS, especially after being suspended, although I agree with it. MLS rigged the Club World Cup Qualifier to make sure Messi got in the tournament. Might he go to Serie A in Italy? My friend is a huge Messi fan, so it would be extremely disappointing for him. We did get to see him play in Cincy this year, but of course, I was delighted to see FCC spank Messi once again.

I mean, they won on PK. And rewatching that Sounders goal, I would surmise it should have been a foul, but VAR apparently did not agree.
