the size chart on the site said that shirt would fit him, but i should have gone bigger.

I think theyll be wearing white shorts so I that should help a lot. Thats way too much going on with that pattern on the shorts too

Exactly. If it’s neutral shorts that might save a bit of face, but if it’s same pattern on shorts....worst I’ve ever seen.
