Good win. Team was clearly gassed about 15' into the 2nd half. Hope we make plenty of changes for the match in Vancouver. Meram looked good in his 4 minutes.
4 straight win, 5 of the last 6, 6 points from the first 2 of 7 games without Barco, 366' without conceding a goal.

One thing I noticed at least in the first half:
When we are trying to defend in the opponent's half, Pity isn't quite sure where he needs to be. Villalba kept having to turn around and point to where Pity should move.

Nagbe and Parkhurst aren't travelling to Vancouver.

We're loaning Kunga to Memphis.

Looks like Pity did not make the Argentina squad for the Copa America.

Pogba and Meram getting starts tonight.

Good job by Pity to draw the penalty. However, he's hanging our defense out to dry by lack of effort after turnovers.

Pretty impressed by Pogba so far.

God damn, guys. We got the goal kick. Let the missed throw in call go.

Into 3rd place in the East. 4 points out of first with 2 games in hand.

I don’t know if I’ll ever warm up to De Boer. Might be because he’s the typical German/Dutch emotionless computer-robot. But I can’t not give him credit for the turnaround.
Very much more solid defensively than the last two seasons. I still believe, however, that lately he’s gone back on offense to a lot of what we’ve done the last two years that he was NOT doing earlier in the season, i.e. formation, high-pressing, etc, and that's why our offense "looks" better.
He probably had good reasons not to do that earlier (like wanting to ensure his midfield and back-line were shored up defensively?), but it sure was a frustrating time.
And, oh, I don't know if last night's performance was a one-off or not but, if it wasn't, Pogba is already our best center-back IMO. That performance of his was smooooooth.

Pereira looked really good in his 25 minutes.

He's a great passer and knows how to use his body well. I think he's fairly slow, though, which will keep him as our #3 or #4 CB. Parkhurst is technically our captain, but I think even he has lost his starting spot to Robinson. Robinson has arguably been our best player this season.
If Robinson keeps this up, we'll be able to get a nice fee for him in a year or two.
I wouldn't be surprised if Parkhurst and Jeff retired after this season, so Pogba could get a lot more minutes next season if he returns.
