In his defense, watching the games is painful because we’re so fricking pitiful.

If this finishes as it looks like its going to finish, AUFC under De Boer will have earned 2 points of a possible 12 in their first four matches.

And be 12th out of 12 in the Eastern Division of the MLS.

Golly, maybe I should just start "watching the games" like ol' Commander Spock to understand the UTTER GENIUS that is occurring under Frank De Boring.

It’d be different if we were losing games because we weren’t making our chances but you literally can’t win if you don’t have opportunities and we’ve barely created any this season. We have all this attacking power and we’re boring. At this point it seems like the players don’t want him there anymore.

It was an IDIOTIC DECISION to bring in a coach with a diametrically opposed philosophy to the previous coach and the players he signed to successfully implement that previous philosophy.

I mean, this isn't a hard thing to figure out.

Holy hyperbole, Batman. We've mostly been the better team tonight. Has had a lot more chances and could easily be winning. Is it FdB's fault that Gressel couldn't put his shot on goal in the first half or that Steffen made 2 great saves? I don't see how you can blame FdB on the 2nd goal. The 1st goal could be chalked up to poor communication between Escobar and Gressel (also Nagbe and Ambrose had poor defensive efforts leading up to the cross). FdB hasn't been great, but the players have to be accountable for some of this shite.

They didn't do this. De Boer's philosophy is fairly close to Tata's.

Somebody seems to live in Unicorn Land where you can just "trade all the players" and bring in a new group that can do what Mr. Perfect Coach has wanted all along!

Wheeeeeee!

Guess what, Commander? The players aren't going anywhere.

If the MANAGER/COACH can't get them to play adequately for him in the manner in which he requires, the MANAGER/COACH is at fault.

Period.

More possession, more attacking half passes, more attacking third passes, more crosses, more shots, more corners. Half of their shots came in a 5 second span.

No fricking shite. But Tata wouldn't be doing much better without Almiron, and having to use Ambrose and Shea since our top LB and RB has been injured.

Without Almiron, we've tried to somewhat use Barco in that role, but his decision making in the final 1/3 has been poor. Pity can't, can't yet, or won't play that role either due to ability or desire. I don't know which. With Bello/Escobar being injured most of the season so far, we haven't been able to get any production from the wing-backs. We weren't a great defensive team to begin with under Tata.

Are you really gonna sit here and pretend that we didn’t sign the best player in South America to replace Almirón?

He was never going to be a direct replacement.

Not to break up the argument on why AUFC looks like trash this year, but looking to make a trip to Atlanta Oct 5 on my quest to see every team. Any recommendations for sitting with supporters, hotel/bars, etc?

Supporters Sections are 101-103, 135-136. The middle three (102, 103, 136) do not have assigned seats.

The Supporters will March in from the Home Depot Backyard.

Depends how long you will be in town for. There are hotels in walking distance (downtown), but there are better areas to stay if you want more than just the game.
