I'm pretty sure FCD front office meetings going something like "Hey guys, I know we just sold one of the most important players on our squad but we are still in first place! Who is the best player we can move to rectify this?"

Bayern backed out of the Rebic deal which pissed Fiorentna off. Eintracht gave the Viola a 50% sell on clause which is ridiculous.

ETA - Fiorentina almost made 20 million for a guy they never played

One of the first deals of the day will see Celta Vigo defender Jonny move to Wanda Metropolitano. The two clubs have agreed a €7m fee plus variables for the fullback. He is expected to arrive in Madrid today to complete his transfer. Once Jonny seals his move to Atletico, the Rojiblanco will allow the 24-year-old join Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan. He is expected to sign for the newly promoted Premier League club on Monday.

Newcastle United will trigger the €4m release clause of highly-rated Deportivo defender Fabian Schar, according to reports.

I don't know how "highly rated" he is anymore.

Apparently, Barca is trying to swoop in last minute and steal him...

Bournemouth have agreed a £10.7m fee with Leganes for left-back Diego Rico, subject to a medical and personal terms being agreed.

The player is due in the UK for a medical within the next 24 hours, and is expected to sign a four-year deal.

Borussia Dortmund made a late bid to sign the player, offering better financial terms, but his preference was to come to the Premier League.

This is such great transfer drama.

Malcom's mother's plane is just arriving in Rome now so she can be there for his arrival.

Latest is that Malcom is rumored to have just flown out of France but "source doesn't know to where".

Twitter followers update is that Bordeaux hasn't changed their earlier tweet that Roma bid was accepted.

Maybe Barca is just fricking with Monchi for not signing with them and then knocking them out of CL.

Our board actually missed out on the chance to get 65 million for Willian. Unbelievable.

To me, that Malcom may have a higher upside than Willian and is 9 years younger makes him a much better signing for €25m less in fees and on half the wages.

Surprising Barcelona isn't going for Willian.

Still so many conflicting reports. Many think Malcom may still choose Roma but Roma may have to raise their bid to Bordeaux.

Oh absolutely. But the only reason this is happening is because Chelsea turned down multiple bids over 50 million for an aging winger.

Yeah, I've been watching the rumors of Barca's bids for Willian. If those amounts are serious, Chelsea should pull the trigger.

Willian is good but I think there's a number of younger wingers that Chelsea could easily attract that would be a better fit for Sarriball and coming into their prime.

I still think Roma has a chance for Malcom. Barcelona is certainly stiff competition but Monchi/ Di Francesco have done a pretty good job of convincing a number of 19-22 year olds to leave some offers from big clubs on the board.

Doesn't help though that Malcom would likely be in 50-50 rotation on right wing with Under though. Roma can only offer "will play more than in Spanish cup against weekenders" in comparison.
