I did read your post. But apparently you didn’t read both of mine.
You called out Pool for driving prices up.
Citey was the one driving up the price of defenders by avg £50 mil each for Stones Walker Mendy and Laporte.
Pool was just paying what they had to for a top defender because City was buying up defenders and dropping £50 mil a pop like it’s nothing. Because it is nothing to you. Your club has an endless supply of oil money.

VVD played in 6 of the 10 qualifiers. They went 4-1-1 in those games (1-0 loss to France, 1-1 draw at Sweden), and only allowed 5 goals. In the 4 games he was not a part of (he was injured for at least 2 of them), they won 2, lost 2, and allowed 7 goals.

Except two of those players are English and Laporte had a buyout.
VVD was £70 mil because you lot have raided Southampton dry and used them as a B squad for the last five years.

Ultimately, 71 is A LOT more than the 50ish we paid for Laporte, Stones, Mendy, or Walker. Plus, Laporte, Stones, and Mendy are all still only 24.
You aren't going to find a City fan on here complaining about any other team's net spend. We are a fairly realistic bunch.
