it's still egregious. GK fees have never been high to begin with, outside of Buffon who is an anomaly. hell, I think DDG cost United 20m and Hart isn't in the same stratosphere as him. Hart simply isn't a very good GK, especially not up to the standards City are setting for themselves. I honestly don't know if he'd be an upgrade to any of the top 8 or so teams even in the PL.

Lol Hart is definitely an above average keeper. He does have his random frick ups, but he's also saved City's arse on numerous occasions.
Did you watch the UCL semis last year? City would have lost 3 or 4 nil on aggregate if not for him.
He's an English player which makes him worth more to premiere league teams just like every other English player
when United signed De Gea he was like 21-years-old and it was 2011, before everyone started spending out the arse because of the new tv deal like they are now.

Sad to see Yala leave Palace but it's quite the offer if the suspected reports of £30M are true. Can't fault Parish and Pardew for cashing in a guy they spent only £530k to sign in 2012. He's a cold/hot player who can change games in an instant and then disappear for weeks.
Now go get Benteke and call it a day.

The fee is what ever but only the top few clubs can afford that for a gk.
But then his wages are going to be a huge issue.

I can't believe Bolas went for £30mm... he really has never had any end product... I get he has pace and is dangerous, but wow...
In this day and age, with the crazy money being thrown around... £20mm for an England international GK, with a some good years left, isn't that crazy I guess... I had heard £30mm last Friday and that's getting up towards silly money..

20 million for a GK is insane.
Hell Madrid didn't want to pay over 22 for DDG.

110K a week isn't too bad for a 29-year-old keeper, especially one that one's four out of the last six Golden Gloves in the league.

Please tell me what club in the lower half of the table is going to pay 110k to 120k a week for a GK.

I think you're misunderstanding me lol, I'm saying no one outside the top 8 will pay that.

I don't think its that crazy given this summers spending... but no doubt, its a high price tag for most clubs..
Wages may be the bigger stumbling block..

He seems to be holding out hope for an Italian team but it's not likely.
Bruno Peres to Roma though is moving quickly . . .
Add Hakim Ziyech and Amadou Diawara if we beat Porto in the CL playoff and this may well be the greatest transfer window of all time by the Dortmund measuring stick.

I've read Darmian to Roma is a possibility. Have you heard any real information on that?

There's definitely interest from Roma but I'm not sure it will happen.
Roma's already bought LB Mario Rui and now likely RB Bruno Peres this summer. That approximately €25m combined is a huge amount for fullbacks for a club like Roma.
As Roma's luck would have it though, Rui got injured right after signing and will be out for at least the first half of the season.
So, Roma will very likely be looking for LB "cover" and I know they would love to have Darmian.
However, having already signed Rui --who's really been excellent the past couple of seasons at Empoli ---- and now RB being totally set with Peres and Florenzi likely means they would only want Darmian on a loan with option.

Thanks, I'd heard some buzz but knew you'd have the skinny on it ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)
