Why in THE frick do all these kids that leave Leeds at a young age have to see out their contracts and screw us out of a sell-on fee. Its like the whole universe is just trolling the shite out of this frickbox of a club

Rafa is certainly a good manager but he underwhelmed at Napoli more than Carlo at Real the past two seasons.
Rafa was ok at Napoli but they had the roster to do better and had done better under the previous two seasons under Mazzarri.
He's certainly a top manager with a strong resume but my point is simply that he's far from a "hot" name you have to jump on.
Is this just a matter of the board feeling they have to "do something"?
Rafa is solid, but far from hot as you say, and I think RM is too much for him.
The board, I don´t know what they REALLY think. I really think it´s Flo (and the board votes accordingly).
I think everybody expected La Undecima. As I said at the close of last season, La Décima came a year earlier than planned. This was the planned year for major accomplishments (plural being key), and the fact that the tenth came last year, tempered in no way their expectations for this season. Injuries or no.
The managerial panorama is comparatively weak (unless Klopp has been secretly coordinated to come in).

I've certainly been wrong before but if I were a Real fan I would rather have Rafa than Klopp.
To me, Klopp's biggest question mark at Dortmund was never figuring out a way to adjust his style to not having a roster full of 20-22 year old players that would sprint 20km a match.
He stuck to those tactics even when they had the quality players to change things up and outclass most opponents without the suicidal high pressure.
That seems exactly what he would need to do at Real.

Think Flo got his feelings hurt during the second half of the season
Can imagine him having some amazing first world problem bitch sessions whenever RM loses a high profile game since he has to sit in the VIP seats

I'd like to see Rafa before Klopp, but I don't really see the point in going after any attainable known quantity.

You mean in the sense of why get rid of Ancelotti unless you're going for a more drastic change?

Rafa´s not a sexy choice, but I guess we don´t know what he´d do with all that talent.
I think Klopp would either be a tremendous success or a colossal failure. The possibility of the latter is probably something latent and of concern, in Chamartín.
It´s not my money, nor my responsibility, hence, I´d like to see what he could do.

Yeah, but the pattern too. Chances are that no one is good enough anyway.

Is Carlo a bit of a tool behind the scenes or something? He's now been fired one season after winning the EPL and breaking the all time goals record and bringing Madrid its long awaited decima or whatever they call it.
Even for Chelsea and Madrid standards that's pretty harsh.

No, don't think so. He was let go by Chelsea and RM - clubs known for being quick at pulling the plug. Everywhere he goes, the players love him.

The affection of Madrid's players for the genial former Italy international was clear from their reactions on social media -- led by midfielder Toni Kroos.

Colombia international James Rodriguez gave a similar message: "Thanks for everything boss, in a short time I learned a lot from you."

Brazil left-back Marcelo also showed his gratitude, uploading a photo showing himself with Ancelotti and the departing coaching staff, including English assistant Paul Clement.

"The team showed its concern on hearing the news. And some players cried when his departure was announced."

I mean it seems that way from the outside, he was pretty loved at Chelsea as well. But like I said, even for Chelsea and Madrid standards these firings are pretty crazy.

Yeah, Simone Scuffet. He started a lot of matches last season for them and has been gotten a lot of interest from every big club in the league for a couple of years.
It's certainly a risk for them but Scuffet kind of demanded to be played or he wouldn't renew and he's a super prospect so it seems they didn't want to risk losing him for nothing.

Quite a few targets from last Summer and January are re-emerging, and St Etienne left back Franck Tabanou and Stuttgart's attacking midfielder Alexandru Maxim are two players that Swansea City look to be closest to signing.
Anyone know anything about these 2?
