So you're implying City fans and management would be disappointed with Isco compared to KDB? Yeah, they're not that stupid by any means.

No shite. That said, I like him so much, I´d watch him play anywhere (and be happy).

I don´t think I could stomach seeing him as a sporadic super sub (probably not even that, with Benítez and his tactics, who´d use him only if a match were ´trabado´).

City fans pretty much have been all aboard the KDB pain train on any other forum and don't talk much about Isco.

I´m sure they feel there isn´t a shot (based on last summer´s foiled signing intent), and chat under the premise he´s not a consideration.

Basically. A lot of them are also tired of the speculation because of how the last saga went down in addition to the constant speculation every window since then. It's also possible Pellegrini/Txiki/Soriano aren't interested in him anymore because of how the last transfer went down. He might have burned some bridges privately. I don't know.

All I know is that I think Isco fits the team construction better and is cheaper.

but Isco is def the right answer

Before all this KDB business got serious I said that I thought Isco would be a better signing for City. Pellegrini and him have a history, but ever since he chose Madrid over City it makes me wonder if Pellegrini just has it out for him at this point.

Also, it's all over Twitter that apparently Mangala would no longer be involved in a loan deal for Otamendi. Thank God. He's looked great the first two matches.

I could care less how much we spend, but if the rumors of a 47 mil bid are true and they're holding out of 50 mil, we need to just spend it. Don't let this thing drag out. Get it done and move on. I guess one reason for the delay could be the Otamendi move though.

and only one team is willing to pay it

but when you spend 49 million on Sterling, clubs are going to start holding you to that standard.

Atlético de Madrid have raised Antoine Griezmann's release clause to a cool 80 million euros, the highest such figure in the club's history and 15m euros more than what it previously stood at (65m euros).

No 'Rojiblancos' player has ever had such a large price tag placed around their neck. This valuation takes into consideration Griezmann's age (24) and his potential, with Atlético believing that the France international has major scope to develop further over the coming seasons.

Griezmann scored 25 goals last term, including 22 in La Liga, and played a pivotal role in Diego Simeone's side finishing third and qualifying for the Champions League, which is of huge significance to the club's finances.

The Frenchman's new contract takes up an option written into the deal he signed on moving to the Calderón last summer, which was for five years plus an optional sixth.

Manchester City target Kevin De Bruyne has dealt a blow to the Premier League side’s hopes of signing him from Wolfsburg.

The midfielder has said “this season I will definitely play for Wolfsburg”.

Thank God that's over. Now sign Pedro.
