i think they could pretty easily replace shaw and lallana's production last season for well under 55m. though, i don't really think they will improve, they certainly can if they're smart.

the rumor i saw was that we're going to up our bid on Lars Bender, but who knows if that'll happen. i'd like schneiderlin.
it won't happen, but i'd love for us to sign someone soon. this summer could really destroy my ability to have hope for anything at arsenal wrt the transfer window. i' d like a little bit of fireworks. if we end up clearance bin shopping at newcastle for debuchy and remy (with RB and ST being our 2 biggest needs, backup GK the 3rd) i'll be fuming.

Debuchy and Remy aren't bad players, but we need a midfield replacement for Arteta.

they aren't bad, but they're both cheap, short-term, unexciting pickups. debuchy is about to be 29. remy is 27 and not exactly a star. i'd be pretty damn disappointed if that was our summer.
i don't think mikel's replacement is pressing *this year*. especially with him doing pilates!
RB and striker and GK are actual needs.

I'm sure we will fill them, but I'm thinking buying Debuchy means that Jenkinson is our RB of the future, something I don't mind, while Remy is our bench option though I think Sanogo has a way higher ceiling. GK will probably be filled by Martinez and one more signing. We probably will need a CB as well.

I mean, he's solid. but we've got a lot of bodies in those other two roles. I'd prefer more quality. kinda tired of solid guys.

I hear ya... But when I think of his skill set, I don't see anyone at Arsenal with those qualities.. maybe a little in Walcott and Podolski, but I still thinks he brings something different to the table...

yeah, I don't hate him and he'd be useful but my hopes have been raised significantly above his talent level. probably unjustifiably

no kidding. markovic is pricey too. rumors in the 25m range. i'm curious how you'll have funds to buy defensive players without selling suarez...two 25m wingers, 10m on 2 strikers. still need a DM, a fullback, and a centerback or two.
