I can see that interpretation, though I don't agree that it is a dig. Cesc might be mad at Wenger for not taking another flyer on him, and I would be too if I were Cesc. Wenger is arguably the reason that Cesc failed at Barca, because he couldn't stop playing like Wenger instructed him, and Cesc's tactical understanding was dumbed down by Wenger's insistence on removing anything that resembled defensive responsibility in Cesc's last two years here.

Also I think it was a poor move by Arsenal not to buy Cesc. Really myopic and we will probably regret it for a long time.

Chelsea is absolutely slaughtering the window between Mata, Cesc, and David Luiz. They have to be the favorites.

Costa too on a (in light of the ridiculous fees strikers have been going for) reasonable deal. tiago on a free. filipe luis seemingly right behind.

Thought about Costa, but I did not need to send off the Randy bat signal.

How much will Filipe Luis go for?

If we're including Mata, they sold De Bruyne for 18 million GBP

I'm sure that it's only going to get worse when they start selling off the 200 highly touted young players they have out on loan

Welcome aboard Cesc!

Rumors now coming out that Real Madrid is in the hunt for Lukaku. Please don't sell him, Jose

Now we wait to see if Shaw or Filipe Luis is next...you have to think money is not an issue for Chelsea this year. David Luiz's transfer pays for Costa and Cesc by itself.

What is Filipe Luis expected transfer value? I know big numbers are being considered for Shaw...

Well Chelsea have done a great job in regards to young players. That's one way to keep stay ahead of FFP.

To make us Chelsea haters feel better... They did pay £21mm for Matic, who was included in the original Luiz deal with Benfica (£21mm + Matic for Luiz)

Sky Sports understands Aston Villa, Stoke City, Everton, West Ham and Newcastle are all ready to swoop for Brooks, who has three years left on his current deal at the Olympic Stadion.

Please God no more Americans at Stoke.

1. Jose > Pep

2. Pep was a broken man the year he had Cesc in Barcelona.
