Dayum. I love Fletch and all, but that's a huge deal for an aging player with rotten guts. Good for him, if true. This post was edited on 1/30 at 10:27 am

A bit much for sure. Makes me wonder if Nolan is finally gone.

Any news on Enner Valencia being sold? Last I saw Chelsea might be interested.

According to the Independent, the Fletcher move has stalled.

Doumbia to Roma

I really wanted Destro to succeed but his style of play just didn't fit and ultimately probably wasn't quite good enough.

Rudi Garcia has wanted a much faster, more dynamic option at CF and Doumbia is certainly that. Doumbia, Gervinho and Iturbe make it seem like we're building a 400m relay team.

Ironically, Roma was very close to signing Doumbia 3 years ago when they end up buying Destro even before Rudi Garcia took over.

This move is also a pretty clear sign from management that they are 100% behind Rudi Garcia long term and convinced he's committed as well.

Added: I think Roma will also get Victor Ibarbo from Cagliari so, yeah, 4x100m relay team is the transfer strategy.

Holy shite. Roma is essentially building a real life version of multiple Fifa careers I've managed.

Except Strootman is hurt again and so is iturbe

This season has been a disaster for bad injuries. Castan being out from the beginning with brain surgery to now Strootman and I-turbo gone for year.

It seems that Roma may finally get Chiriches from Spurs after they outbid us contract wise a couple of years ago.

I think Roma will likely scramble another midfielder just to hold the fort down since De Rossi is out along with Strootman and Pjanic will probably get a 3 match ban for throwing a punch yesterday.

I don't play FIFA, but I can imagine Ibarbo, Duombia, Gervinho (and Iturbe) being pretty popular if pace is at a premium.

You have no idea.

FUT is a game mode in FIFA. ChuBoi works for EA. Their employees even joke about it.

Considering Roma's present bad form and every starting midfielder being out I wouldn't be com pletely shocked to see some kind of wild video game lineup with Totti dropped deep in the midfield just spraying long balls toward Gervinho, Ibarbo and Doumbia.

Reports on Monday suggested that the 22-year-old has signed a pre-contract with Real Sociedad and will join David Moyes’ side at the end of the season.

The England Under 21 striker, who has been widely linked with the Spanish club, will be out of contract in the summer and is free to talk to foreign teams.

So is MLS not going to pay a transfer fee or at least pay the early termination clause?

No fee mentioned, seems juve is letting him go after being a part of the club for 19 years

BBC World Service Sport's John Bennett: "The Italian press are reporting that Samuel Eto'o was so upset that Sampdoria boss Sinisa Mihajlovic had organised a double training session that he stormed out of the training ground to drive to his home in Milan. Sampdoria officials are said to have chased after him, without success.

"Remember that Eto'o only signed for the Serie A side from Everton last week."
