Check out how many players they have out on loan
Chelsea wiki

About 20 players, which seems crazy until you look at Parma

How many of those players really have a future at Chelsea though? The Bertrand deal is permanent now, Salah will likely be permanent, and I also feel Marin and Van Ginkel don't have a future with Chelsea at this time. Is Victor Moses a guy with a future?

City have a total of 8 guys out on loan, and that number includes Richards, Negredo, Sinclair and Nastasic who, unless I'm mistaken, are all deals that should become permanent.

Why does Chelsea carry so many more players on their roster? I'm assuming it can't hurt, obviously. More of a chance to hit on players. This may be a dumb question, but is there a roster cap in the BPL?

Now here's a transfer deadline day story lol, apparently Martin Olsson was on his way to sign the paperwork for his transfer to WBA and his car got stuck in the snow, at least according to Sky Sports. Imagine if this happened to Schurrle or a huge transfer haha

Roman must have lost too much money in the Russian economy collapse. Chelsea with another transfer window profit.

Bolton boss Neil Lennon had trouble convincing Andy Kellett that his loan move to Manchester United was not a wind-up.The 21-year-old left-back's switch from Bolton to Old Trafford for the rest of the season was the most surprising deal done on transfer deadline day.

And it was not just fans who were taken aback by the news.

Trotters boss Lennon said: "He hadn't got a clue. He was on his way to Plymouth. He thought I was winding him up."It took a good five or 10 minutes. He wouldn't believe us. We told him to ring his father and we'd tell him, and once that happened I think it started to sink in.

He will be used in our U-21 side and is part of a loan swap deal so Saidy Janko can get first team action and move away from the U-21's.

I thought Lampard left on a free, as well as Essien? If so, then that graphic is wrong.

I know for sure that Lampard was picked up by City as a free agent.

Rangers manager Kenny McDowall claims he has been told by the club that the five loan signings made from Newcastle must be in his starting XI if fit.
Midfielders Gael Bigirimana and Haris Vuckic and defenders Kevin Mbabu, Remie Streete and Shane Ferguson joined from the Premier League side on Monday.
Their parent club are owned by Rangers shareholder Mike Ashley.
McDowall says chief executive Derek Llambias and football board chairman Sandy Easdale told him the news.
The interim manager, who took over from Ally McCoist when he was placed on gardening leave on 19 January, recently handed in his notice to resign.
He is now working a 12-month notice period.

Being paid to do nothing. Basically, it means that he's been sacked but they can't pay the termination fee.

Also...

quote:

SPFL rule 65 states: "Other than as expressly provided for in the Rules and these Regulation, it shall not be permitted to stipulate when or against whom, a player temporarily transferred may or may not play and any such stipulation in any agreement shall be void and of no effect."

The last two minutes are pathetic. Almost feel sorry for him.
