According to reports in Italy, Bayern Munich have pulled out of the race to sign Mehdi Benatia due to Roma's demands for the defender. Roma reportedly want between €30m (£24m) and €35m (£28m) for the Morocco international. Manchester United are now seemingly the only club interested in Benatia, although reports claim the centre-half is hoping Chelsea will make an offer.

DAILY TELEGRAPH: Barcelona are willing to let midfielder Alex Song leave on a season-long loan with Everton, Manchester United and Tottenham all interested.

World Cup star Marcos Rojo has told the Argentine media that he cannot wait to join Manchester United.
The Sporting Lisbon defender has just returned to training with the Portuguese giants after apologising to them for previously refusing to play, as he looked to force through a transfer out of the club.
Both United and Southampton had lodged bids for the 24-year-old, but it is United who are set to win his signature - although neither club has yet confirmed whether a deal has been agreed.
It is understood talks are continuing between United and Sporting, with reports claiming that Nani and Anderson could be loaned the other way as part of the deal

Leaving Sporting wasn't easy. I have always liked English football, I'll have to
adapt quickly to the playing style

Today's update on Angel di Maria and it appears the Real Madrid attacker's fee is continuing to prove a problem, so says L'Equipe. Real Madrid were reportedly prepared to accept a season-long loan with an automatic option to buy, but PSG are reluctant to meet the €65million (£52.1m) asking fee. Di Maria's price tag is also reportedly deterring Bayern Munich and Manchester United from stepping up an interest
52 is absurd but then again Ozil went for 42 so Madrid isn't going to sell on the cheap.

So Rojo (can play LWB and LCB) is reportedly coming…Benatia's still going to be a while (if he leaves)…Song is a possibility…any updates on Blind?

Yea everything i've seen said he can lock down the left side. When using 3 in the back a left side/LCB can be the hardest play to find esp one that is left footed.

Marko Marin was loaned out to Fiorentina with option to buy.

Di Maria is just lazy sometimes but he shows up in big games. Ozil is like wheres Waldo when it matters.

L'Equipe reporting that Real Madrid have agreed to loan Di Maria to PSG this year with an automatic purchase next year of 65M Euros.

yes. I do! selfishly, I'd point out what that comparing things requires evaluating a lot of fluid parts, of which what I said involved more of and is harder to make an accurate comparison. I think comparing the transfer market dealings one year apart by the same team/person at a similar position has much less moving parts to correct for.
I guess he meant that they aren't barça giving cut rate deals, but real asking 52m for di maria is insane. don't care how much he revitalized his career last season. i read it as a slight towards özil's value in comparison to Angel's and, of course,
ran to his defense.

Eduardo Vargas on loan to QPR from Napoli. Exciting player. Will be interesting to see how he does in the prem. loved watching him and Sanchez at the WC.

We've always put lower-level managerial rumors on here.
Also, he's joining them because it's the same DoF he had at Cardiff. He'll have a big role in the transfer decisions.
