You've obviously seen more of Oscar than me, so I take your word for it. But I've always thought he was solid.

He started off last season excellently but was worthless from about December on. Unfortunately his great start made justifying selling Mata easier. Though we probably would have won the league had we kept Mata last season. A creative player in the midfield was exactly what we needed to break down the Villas, Sunerlands, West Hams etc... that we drew/lost to down the stretch.

Hopefully we can get early season Oscar all year this go round.

I'm surprised Douglas Costa hasn't made a move out of Shakhtar already... Good player..

James signs with Real Madrid for €80M.

Glad to know he'll be on TV more this season. He has quickly become one of my favorite players to watch.

Wonder what a club like Monaco will do with that much extra cash. They've got to give Falcao a lot more support if they want to contend with PSG.

I don´t know what they´ll do.... Maybe buy some Brazilians from the Ukraine.

I read earlier today where both Khedira and DiMaría said they will NOT go there.

Apparently their billionaire Russian owner lost half his fortune as part of his divorce (apparently the biggest payment like that in history). That probably has something to do with the fact they haven't bought anyone this summer.

That would seem like the best route. Other than that, you're probably looking at grabbing some highly touted guys from Portugal (again) and the Netherlands, or any places where moving to Ligue 1 and a Champions League club would be a sizable step up.

They won't be co-favorites with PSG to win the league or contenders in the UCL for the next few seasons, but they should continue to be UCL qualifiers.

However, with all that money, if they spent it wisely and had a season or two to click under the right manager...they could be a force quickly.

The transfer of James Rodriguez from Monaco to Real Madrid could be sorted out soon, according to a report in L’Equipe. The clubs have not agreed on a deal yet and it is rumoured that they are still a fair way apart in their valuation of the Colombian, with Florentino Perez proposing €75million but Monaco president Dimitri Rybolovlev holding out for €85million.

Pretty much the whole board agreed they couldn't see Monaco selling him or Madrid selling Isco after just buying him.

Madrid gets what it wants though.

Juventus are on the hunt for new signings and are reportedly interested in Manchester United winger Nani and Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku. Another target is Stevan Jovetic, according to Tuttosport, and it is claimed that they have been in regular contact with the Manchester City player’s agent in a bid to get a deal over the line quickly. Meanwhile, Juventus are reportedly closing in on the signing of Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra. Evra signed a one-year contract extension with United eight weeks ago, but the defender has since been allowed to leave Old Trafford.

Reports in the Italian press say that Manchester United are set to enter the race for Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado. Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Arsenal have all previously been connected to the Colombian but speculation suggests Louis van Gaal is also a fan and United could be ready to make an offer of around €37million.

Wouldn't be surprised if they cashed in on Hummels. They have Subotic, Ginter and the Greek with the last name I'm not trying this early in the morning. All three of those guys are very good and pretty young
