Let's say (by pure luck) LSU gets beats by Arky. I know, I know, it is far fetched, but . . . let's say it does happen. Who represents the west in the SECCG if Bama and Arkansas win out? They will have beaten and lost to the other. Is it the highest ranked team? What is the tie breaker?

The team ranked the highest in the BCS, according to your scenario, would go.

WRONG.

IF two teams are within 5 BCS rankings of each other:

They take the 3 way tie, choose the top 2 teams, they then look at the head to head. Bama can be ranked ahead of LSU and we still go to atlanta

A cracked out leprechaun riding a unicorn has a better chance of beating LSU than Arky does.

In all likelihood, LSU would win the WEST even if that were to happen.

so could you have in this scenario

1. LSU
2. BAMA
3. Arkansas

that would really be messed up

But . . . according to that scenario, you will have lost to Arky. So, one would think, they would jump you in the standings. Bama would go for we will have beaten Arkansas.
