You’re alive around 1890 and the Government comes out with this mandate.

The government: We just bred a horse that shits 4x less than a normal horse. By 1905, all horses in use must be this new, lower defecating model.
Everyone: How much will this new horse cost?
The govement: About 5x the cost of a regular horse.
And you say… What?

And then just like flat screen tvs and literally anything else that's new on the market, people find cheaper ways to produce and the price drops even as technology continues to advance. Lol .. some of you people simply cannot think things out.

Did the government mandate flat screen TVs?
Here is the things about EVs..
It will significantly drive up the cost of your power bill which will dwarf what you are paying in gas today.

OK but the transition to flat screens didn't cost 5 bucks a gallon

The government wasn't mandating and still isn't mandating renewable energy... The mandate of lowering of fossil fuel emissions is not the same as mandating green energy. Mandating "greener" energy perhaps... But that's the only government mandate in effect that I'm aware of. It's not the same as what you are implying

And building it requires oil products, disposal of batteries ( which is not cast effective ) is more toxic than anything else except for nuclear.

EVs are being mandated across the board via this Administration’s policies.
You just refuse to admit it.

It’ll never get cheaper unless they unleash expanded use of coal for power or build more nuclear plants.
They’re not going to do either of those things.

It is implicit, it's OK you don't want to admit it, but its OK for us to think youre a liar.

Thats because that particular product we are mentioning isn't nearly as important on a global scale. But it's bidens fault that oil cost that much. We can pursue green energy while still keeping the cost of oil at a decent price. He is not for that, and that's where the mistake is. It's Not in pursuing green energy.

They might not... But we will put someone in power who will

I’ll link some articles on the effect of power usage from EV charging.
I’m getting 20MW per year in power requests for commercial L2 and L3 charges in my area.
This doesn’t include people installing L1 or L2 chargers in their homes.
People bitch about the cost of their utility bill today. It’ll be double of what you’re paying in less than 10 years.

Not if we on a large scale start building more and more solar farms to harvest the energy of the sun. Costs will rapidly go down as energy will be available in abundance. I worked on the first industrial solar farm in Louisiana across the river in Rosedale. It powers 40,000 homes and only takes up less than 60-80 acres or so. As material sciences get better their efficiency and availability to all will only continue to bring costs down. Y'all don't know what y'all are talking about

Cost a shite ton and take up huge tracts of land compared to other forms of power generation.
This cost will be passed down to you because they will be reducing fossil fuel plants in use while building these solar farms.

There's no such thing just like there's no such thing as man-made climate change.

The “simpletons” are the ones that can’t understand this. So you have an electric car…good. But, your fricking electricity bill is now $500 plus every month. It could end up being even worse seeing how 70% or more of the electricity we use is derived from fossil fuels.

In the beginning stages it will cost, but not like oil exploration costs, buddy, come on. All you need is panels in a field and the sun and some wires running to power converter/storage stations. It's not really that $ relatively speaking

I already addressed that. Y'all aren't showing good knowledge of this subject because you aren't in the industry. I am.
