I’m not an immigration expert but I would think we’d have them apply again based on merit and degree needs.
Another background check would be nice as well though I’m not sure how good we are at those considering some of the countries involved.

I mean we can but also they can have their student visa revoked for criminal, financial or health reasons at any time during their studies. Anything the background check would find would've already been found and they would've been revoked and deported. It just seems like inefficiency that would of course need a highly paid government department to oversee and facilitate.

I mean, sure, but even once they have a green card, if they frick up they can be revoked and deported. Like I said, it just seems like another inefficient and wasteful government recourse to re-screen people with all of the same tests you've already checked them on before they entered and have continued to monitor throughout their stay.

That's inherently not data though. That's is, by definition, anecdotal evidence and an experience based opinion. What if I have professors and administrators who say the opposite? Who is correct at that point. But then again, I'm a god damn idiot apparently.

I have a family member who was saved from heart disease and given more time to live in part due to the wisdom and proper care of a cardiologist that is from Vietnam. He was a doctor there and lost his credentials during the fall of Saigon and did his schooling all over again once here to prove he knew his shite as a doctor. That's a true story and I'm glad doctor V was here. See how anecdotal evidence works?

Let’s just make our universities diploma mills for foreign born students and put all Americans on UBI. No need to even educate our own when we can educate people from Vietnam

a degree is not a qualifier for entrance but shows ability to have potential to support ones self.
