No Reservations was one of the best shows on American television. I didn't care for Bourdain's politics, but he and Rick Steves are the gold standard of American travel shows.

Anthony bourdain was an amazing chef known for his simple, timeless recipes. Some of his favorite recipes were so simple, the preparation only required a spoon and a heat source

I don’t really know anything about Bourdain beyond seeing his name on some commercials. I feel neither joy nor sadness upon learning of his passing.

Guy basically had everyone’s dream job and was still badly depressed. If he has a young daughter, I guess he was still gettin it too. Depression is no joke.

Sounds like Tony is about to get #MeToo’d.

This is proof you didn't read it and don't know what the frick you are talking about. He is possibly the least likely celebrity to be caught in a #MeToo scandal. His girlfriend was raped by none other than Harvey Weinstein. Anthony Bourdain was the first to Rose McGowan's side, and here she is crying arse off this morning when she found out the news: LINK

So a simple "I'm a fricking idiot" will suffice as an apology.

I couldn't care less about his politics. His shows were entertaining and informative and it looked as though he was usually having a good time doing them. I feel for his daughter, how do you explain that to a kid?

I'm not celebrating his death (I loved his shows), and I feel for all who cared for him like the guy in OP.

But social media posts from people who liked someone isn't going to change the hearts of people who go as far as to celebrate that death.

I wasn't familiar with that, but the average poster here, I'm sure it's the case. I call a mulligan here.

That's racist or predjudice or something

My wife and I enjoyed Bourdain's shows and his self-deprecating humor. Never followed his political inclinations, but he seemed to be a respected BJJ ambassador. Seemed like a good enough guy in my book.
