Justice.gov

Those $32,000 couches will get you up to 395 years in prison every time. At least we know what one of the sealed indictments contained.

Why spend $32k on a couch in WV? It will just end up burned after a WVU game anyway.

They need to look in a mirror.

Bernie Madoff got like 150 years.

Pretty likely this naughty justice won't see anywhere near that.

With the F'ingBI current rep as an institution of incompetence, bias, and outright criminality within the organization, this judge should be able to impeach the credibility of any and all F'ingBI evidence and testimony and records.

If anyone would be up to date on the long and sordid history of F'ingBI faking lab tests/results, altering and hiding and tampering with evidence, lying by agents, it would be a judge.

I get that when public officials, ESPECIALLY judges, steal from the public we need to make an example of them but 395 years seems like a tad bit much

Well if the government said it only paid $32,000 I would guess it probably looks like one you would find in PeeJay’s trailer

Yeah, I think the witness tampering is what really got him. The couch was a focal point for the news stories about scandal leading up to the indictment though.

Interesting that all discussion has avoided mention of his political party affiliation.

Republican.

To its credit, the NPR write up doesn't mention it either.
