I do not consider Blackstone (1723-80) to be "modern," but he WAS the preeminent authority on the common law in the 18th century. He said that "life... begins in contemplation of law as soon as an infant is able to stir in the mother's womb." That typically is at about 18 weeks.
If he believed and advocated that, he probably would have killed himself if the technology for detecting a heartbeat at 14 days, and seeing what all a baby is doing by that time.

Just willy-nilly overturning Roe-vs-Wade would be akin to overturning the 2nd ammendment

I love how you say whether they are right or wrong.
What is not wrong is the fact that there is not Constitution right? So where as in 1973 9 judges got together and 7 decided that the right to privacy allowed you to "end life". Now you have 5-6 judges that have agreed that the States can make their own laws.

To think some of you that think Heller won’t get overturned after this is laughable. Judges are to interpret the constitution and y’all forget about the way some of these idiot judges currently interpret it. As much as I would like to see Roe get overturned, you Best believe it’s going to establish a precedent to overturn other decisions as well.
Hillary Clinton:
And to be clear, I hope we never see the day Heller is brought back to the Supreme Court with a liberal leaning.
