Isn’t the term truly a misnomer?
Nothing about these fricker’s agenda is really progress.

“Full of white guilt.”
That’s what it means.
That’s what it means.

quote:
n the United States, progressivism began as a social movement in the 1890s and grew into a political movement in what was known as the Progressive Era. While the term "American progressives" represent a range of diverse political pressure groups (not always united), some American progressives rejected social Darwinism, believing that the problems society faced (poverty, violence, greed, racism and class warfare) could best be addressed by providing good education, a safe environment, and an efficient workplace. Progressives lived mainly in the cities, were college educated and believed that government could be a tool for change
We as a society need to constantly progress towards a more utopian future.
Hence why they’re never happy. The government being able to make all things right is the end goal and as long as there’s somebody who doesn’t submit to their opinion of a better world there can always be more progress.
Tucker said it best on an interview with Shapiro. (Paraphrasing) “I go to bed knowing people out there disagree with me. There is some progressive in NYC that is ate up with rage that somebody in Alabama doesn’t feel the same way about the gender pay gap or trans rights.”

Progressive: covers a wide spectrum of abnormal societal behavior, unsure of one's gender or sexual preference, mentally confused or displaying cognitive dissonance, strong predilection to scream at the sky rather than accepting reality
There's a lot more to add but you get the gist.

The first two of nine, does it sound familiar? Oh! this was written in 2002.
Transnational Progressivism
The key concepts of transnational progressivism could be described as follows:
(1) The ascribed group over the individual citizen. The key political unit is not the individual citizen, who forms voluntary associations and works with fellow citizens regardless of race, sex, or national origin, but the ascriptive group (racial, ethnic, or gender) into which one is born. This emphasis on race, ethnicity, and gender leads to group consciousness and a deemphasis of the individual’s capacity for choice and for transcendence of ascriptive categories, joining with others beyond the confines of social class, tribe, and gender to create a cohesive nation.
(2) A dichotomy of groups: Oppressor vs. victim groups, with immigrant groups designated as victims. Influenced (however indirectly) by the Hegelian Marxist thinking associated with the Italian writer Antonio Gramsci (1891-1937) and the Central European theorists known as the Frankfurt School, global progressives posit that throughout human history there are essentially two types of groups: the oppressor and the oppressed, the privileged and the marginalized. In the United States, oppressor groups would variously include white males, heterosexuals, and Anglos, whereas victim groups would include blacks, gays, Latinos (including obviously many immigrants), and women.

Socialist
Cultural Marxist
Social reform is the main thrust while ignorance of economics is a huge piece of the puzzle

Progressive means you understand capitalism isn't the solution, as your major voting base is constantly getting fricked.
You want something central and humane.
Unfortunately, the term has been coined by leftists of varying degrees of intensity.
ETA. Capitalism can be the panacea, but the tax scheme needs to be overhauled.

The word "progressive" has been used interchangeably with "communist" by communists themselves since at least the 1930's.
In 1953, when Stalin Died, the leader of an Israeli commune (the one Bernie lived in for a while) issued a statement that it was "a sad day for progressives everywhere."
Them changing the name of something just to make it sound more noble or to hide the meaning of the thing itself has been going on for a long time.
