The only true left position Tulsi has is on the life issue and she is starting to see the light on that issue. I know her personally (she is good friends with one of my best friends) and once she turns the corner on the sanctity of life she will be a formidable candidate for any office.

Last I heard she was pushing some pretty serious socialism in the Dem primary. Healthcare and all that.

Just want to point out that Tulsi is still a leftists with aspirations for the White House. A lot of this is likely pandering.
she will not run as a Democrat ever again if she is smart. it is pandering, but when it comes time she should realize the Dem party will never let her win due to super delegates like they have done Bernie twice.
she could likely win as a repub by changing her her stances on issues (claiming she has changed her view on others within the government), and could still hit independents + some dems.
she would have to really act out on policies she currently doesn't agree with to be re-elected though due to the new base she would represent.

We'll see. I don't see a place for her in the Republican Party and independent isn't going to play. If she's going to get the nomination, I think it's going to have to be as a Democrat, although maybe that's what she's doing right now is making her case to switch sides.

I would have voted democrat if they had run Tulsi.

I love Tim Pool too. Despite that stupid beanie he’s become sort of hot now that he’s a gun toting libertarian.
It does seem to me that the authoritarianism that by necessity goes along with Marxism is sinking in. I don’t know that the idea will ever sink in with Tulsi. Even though, she is so lovely. I really do like Tulsi. And I too like Yoga. I think she and I could be friends

Regardless- Tulsi, Jimmy and Camille are the last of the Democrats who are actually liberals. Maybe Bill Maher, but he’s also the same with socialism and slightly more annoying
I would add Brett and Eric Weinstein as well as Glen Greenwald. I used to think that Sam Harris was one who stood out as different, but he has a colossal case of TDS that causes him to be completely irrational when it comes to any issue regarding Trump.

She is a liberal, no doubt. But she isn't a totalitarian marxist that is controlling the party. She sees the extremism in party and yes she is exposing it for it will benefit her in her aspirations, because I think a lot of moderate dems will regret voting for a party that is doing what they are doing, and will look to somebody like her.
I think she is legitimately against the radical end of the party and she is trying to raise her stock with moderates and libertarians by exposing it.

She was on Joe Rogan last week bashing the left.

she can't win because of DNC corruption, and super delegates. she truly is misguided if she thinks otherwise.
her party has control of all cultural institutions, and is pushing the very radicalism she doesn't like. maybe she is realizing the people who like her more are on the other side, and her policies are the issue.

She also nicely explained why. They are a greater threat as they hold more power than anyone present at the capital on that "fateful" day.

I listen to him everyday.
And Jimmy Dore. I think both of them are refreshing and honest in their opinions, even if I do (particularly Jimmy, not so much Tim anymore) disagree with many of them.
Wednesday, I can wear a beanie if it helps

I know this board loves Tulsi because she looks cute when all dressed up for TV. And while she may be the least insane of the Democrats, she is far far from anything close to conservative.

I wish I'd known more about her when I sat next to her father on a plane when he was heading to Columbia for the South Carolina primaries last year pre-COVID. She didn't have a chance in hell of winning, but she's definitely not shy about speaking her mind and actually has come convictions. Refreshing even though she's still liberal as hell in many respects.
I'd happily trade her for the junior senator from Utah anytime.

I’d take her as POTUS over China Joe, any other Dem and some Republicans. Especially if conservatives had a majority in one or preferably two of the legislative bodies.

Tulsi is a lefty who I am sure I would disagree with on many topics, but I would not feel like the country is headed for disaster if she was president. I wouldn't feel as if all of our rights were being stripped away and that it was the end.
In other words, Tulsi is an example of how the system should work -- people on the left and right battling it out in the realm of ideas. No deeming the other side "terrorists" or un-American. Both sides have a starting point in which they agree (constitution) and from there disagreements are natural and OK.
The problem with the left in control now is they don't even agree on what being an American is. They hate the constitution, the flag, the military, all white people, all Christians, etc. They want totally open borders and mass chaos just to punish and outpopulate us. They don't give a shite about Americans already here, in fact they hate most of us. Hell, they don't even care about the illegals - they just use them as a weapon.
Just 25 years ago the Dems would be considered right-wing today. Clinton said many times he was against illegal immigration and wanted them deported. He passed the crime bill which put 100,000 extra cops on the street and put people away for life for drug offenses. The crime bill was too right-wing even for Trump as he worked to overturn some of its provisions
Obama said in 2008 he was against gay marriage. I mean that position is crazy even to republicans today and that was in 2008. Now whether he was truly against it, I don't know. He probably just said so to get elected. But my point is that it was a mainstream position even among Dems just 12 years ago.
