Then they are no longer H1B visa holders. They are illegal aliens ineligible for work.

Does it change the fact they are here due to the H1B program?

It does not.

I'd like to see the data that support the claim.

So?

This is like the "but it's illegal to cast a vote for president if you're not a US citizen" argument.

Why do you think we don't know how many illegals are currently in the US?

Same thing on legal immigration. Hard numbers are nearly impossible to find for a reason.

This poster recently stated enthusiastically that Trump was going to bring in as many Indians as he could and he hoped they would gang rape our wives.

Really? Because your google machine says you're clueless.

Well, I can't link the PDF, or embed it.

H-1B visa admissions In 2023, 755,020 people were admitted to the US in H-1B status.

The google machine and the US Citizen website posted aren't matching up. US citizen website says 127,600. That's almost a 600,000 difference. Where is that coming from?

moment posted that Biden gave a bunch of illegals H1Bs. That sounds par for the course so he's probably right about that.

So. Enforce the law. Jesus, people. This isn't fricking hard.

If we actually enforced the law, we could probably contract the H1B program because the people who should be here on H1B represent a tiny fraction of who IS here on H1B.

Well, I tried to link the document for you. The calculations are laid out clearly, and the average was about 600k until the pandemic.

The number of new applications and continuations plummeted, and then skyrocketed in 2022 and 2023. I guess, bringing the numbers back up.

It's also fantasy in practice. We've only had to enforce the southern border for the last fifty years, too.

The recent refugee program makes it confusing. Those people can work and in some cases get government assistance.
