Will be fun to watch if Gaetz does not get confirmed and we realize using this appointment to replace Gaetz in the House was the plan all along.

The whole Gaetz thing feels like a canary in a coal mine by Trump. Maybe he’s trying to see who is going to stand against him. I’ve got no problem with Gaetz, but this was clearly a pick that was going to ruffle some feathers.

I saw Gaetz resigned his House seat and thought that was pretty bold considering he’s got the biggest uphill battle to get confirmed.
But if the plan is for Gaetz to be appointed to Rubio’s seat if he can’t get confirmed as AG, that makes sense.

whats the deal with "acting" appointments? are they limited in any way? if not trump will just put a bigger FU guy in as acting AG
