Y'all can call it socialist, progressive, commie, hippy shite...whatever you want to label it....but there is going to have to be a time soon where the little guy (<$500k/yr) finally catches a break and can build some wealth in our society. The path we're on is completely unsustainable.
You can do it now. You just don’t want to. And you’re jealous of other people who have done it.

I've built wealth. A lot of people haven't. Unlike you, I understand that the wealth I've built is under direct threat by the direction of this country and those who have been strategically put in positions to be unable to build the same wealth. If I were 25 years older, sure, I wouldn't be worried. But I'm not older. I know that, inevitably and prior to my retirement age, my assets will be threatened due to the greed of supply-side economics over the past 35 years.
But hey, baby boomers gonna boomer, right?

This is so stupid.

Precisely.
Spends whole paycheck on craft beer and overpriced restaurant food, screams at sky because he's not living the Kardashian life

This is such a fricking bitch move of a post and I can't help but feel there's some jealousy in your own words.
Yes, craft beer...the nectar of those **** leftists. You like to sit around with a cold Bud Light, like a REAL MAN. Insecurity, brother....it's not a pretty look.
Yes, eating out is just AWFUL. What kind of pussy feels he needs to take a shower and change out of his overalls to throw on a faggy blazer to go out to eat at a nice restaurant? I mean, yes, it would be great to have enough class, enough money, a wife under 250lbs that doesn't embarrass me in public, and good enough looks to clean up nicely...but being I don't, I think I'll act like having those things makes libtards fricking jealous pussies.
You're a whiny bitch who wishes he'd lived his life with more class so that people wouldn't look down on him like the poorly dressed, unclassy, redneck, racist fat frick he knows he looks like.

Oh boy, I sure struck a nerve.
Learn to prioritize your spending so you can escape moms basement and build some wealth. It's amazing how your class envy will fade once you learn a little personal responsibility.

The thread was about people who work full-time and are still below the poverty line
Anyone at this point is basically unemployable for any meaningful work. It's really easy to rise above min wage and out of poverty

Yes. You’re not paying anything in taxes.
Payroll taxes are deducted.
Even with almost 0 tax liability a gross income of 15k is very difficult to get by on.
Even in a low cost of living area that's going to be tight.

I fail to see the issue.

Or they can't afford abortions because we refuse to let taxpayer funds offer assistance. Or it could be that they've been brainwashed by religion to believe they're going to hell if they abort their child. Then you think schools and community health centers should offer free condoms and then remember that religious folks raise hell about that, too.
How about they spend more time working and less time fricking? shite or even use fricking as leverage to get the dickheads in the neighborhood to actually work.

Progressive ideology believes that poor people are simply victims of circumstance unable to overcome because they are somewhat subhuman. They have absolutely no faith in poor people to make correct decisions.

Same reason why giving them money will never make them not poor, instant gratification and no regard for planning.

Birth control is dirt cheap. For a six pack of natural ice beers or a pack of cigarettes a week, these people can have birth control.

People's economic conditions change. You once told me I lack empathy. I think you essentially saying "sorry poor people, you don't get the joy of having children", shows a lack of empathy...

Can they afford it?

No. They can't. I think someone working full time should be able to though.

Aye, Ronnie. I think every longtime poster on this board is a little bit jealous of Roger's life and adventures. Your's, not so much.
Earlier the question was asked whether you can live on $15,000/yr. It would suck but you wouldn't die of starvation or exposure. If you want more, work harder. Show up on time and relatively sober and you'll be in the middle class in no time.

It's pretty easy. Graduate HS, gain some skills either in trade school, college or on the job. Spend a few years learning and viola, you're making money.
