Yeah, I get that part of your argument. I've mentioned your first claim that most African-Americans have little slave ancestry. That is a false statement. I've also mentioned your use of terms like "direct ancestry" and "conflicted lineage." You need to define these terms if you're going to use them. I also haven't mentioned reparations at all.

I've clarified, like 5 times. Conflicting lineage in terms of reparations is having both slave and slave-owner lineage.

How are you now getting this? Give me your definition of who pays, and who benefits from reparations. If the answer is "white Americans must pay black Americans", then skin tone is your only qualifier.
Should the wealthy, second generation Nigerian-American family across town get reparations from the poor children of Kosovan refugees who moved here in the 1990's? (as an example).

If Toby has 1% ancestral slave owner DNA, and his white neighbor AggieHank also has 1% slave owner DNA, does Aggie's melanin deficiency increase his liability? The current school of thought is "it does" because Aggie bathes in privilege.
To the extent that one can use the word "serious" in a reparations discussion, no serious proponent of reparations is suggesting that someone identify all the descendants of slaveowners and send only THEM an invoice. The idea is that reparations would be paid from the state treasury.
But you DID manage to avoid the question. Kudos.

What was this about?
Basically, the evidence from the sentencing guidelines showed that the guy would not have done time on either the original charge or the lesser charge on which he pleaded "guilty." In other words, he would have been free by the time of the MSU shooting, either way.
