If I recall, Florida tried this a few years back with welfare. Something like 2% positive tests. Which really just shows the testing was flawed, likely Bc it wasn’t random. Bc it’s statistically impossible that only 2% of welfare recipients are using drugs. No serious person can believe that stat.

You're such an imbecile that you don't even realize that you're arguing for more government and more wasteful government

Gonna need to see 2 decades of jack welch's clean drug test results, every board member and employee at GE too... oh, wait i don't remember the government mandated urinalysis of elon musk either. The requirements for billions in government subsidies should be at bare fricking minimum equal to food stamps, riiiiiiiight?

No issue whatsoever unless its weed. I don't even smoke but think its bullshite that weed is a controlled substance at all. That said, I am against able-bodied people taking this type of assistance anyway...and weed prevents you from getting a job most places...So frick that. I changed my mind. Totally in favor. Please bring to Louisiana!

Meh...I'm a card carrying liberal but the problem with food stamps and welfare is that there are not enough conditions. An able bodied person should be expected to obey the law (at a minimum) to live off the state.

I'm glad to see you're a proponent for cutting all welfare programs.

You stupid mother fricker

You only "care" about the size of government when someone tries to rein in the size of government.

You are a bigger fraud than the democrat "deficit hawks"

Protect your moochers. Why don't you extoll the virtues of voting felons next?

Nope do not support. If we going to go that route we need to drug test every single person who receives money from the government including employees, elected officials, and their staff.

Yes lets go after the poor people first by all means though.

Im sure it’s already been mentioned 3 pages in, but isn’t the cost of testing more than the cost of paying out the welfare itself? Believe I read somewhere that it does but it could’ve been a biased site.

Anyone receiving food stamps should be required to take an annual physical exam, and have their funds reduced if they are obese, with allowances for children.

Same here ... been getting drug tested for well over two decades, at least twice a year...both for DoD and civilian work.

Hell ... they drug test my son's middle school football team.

Why should dregs...poor dregs ... government dregs ... dregs of all shapes and sizes ... be exempt?

Working people have to get drug tested ... why should lazy people who get stuff for "free" be exempt?
