Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is headed back to Capitol Hill. This time he could be leaving empty-handed.

Congress is consumed with a spending fight that is as much about the war in Ukraine as it is slashing federal expenditures. And unlike last year, a visit from Zelenskyy may not move the needle.

Conservatives in the House of Representatives are pushing for Ukraine assistance be left out of a bill that would keep the government open through the end of the year. They are demanding stronger reporting on how the money is spent -and could end up voting to withhold aid altogether.

The people that want this are being called radical right wing extremists.

Let me rephrase it- the people that want accountability for your tax dollars are called terrorists

It should be obvious that the WH doesn't need Congress. If the GOP stops something he wants to do he just invents a new reason why it can be done by an executive order.

the Senate will not approve disaster relief funds if Ukraine aid is not in the bill.

I can now understand why most Roman emperors took joy in publicly embarrassing and killing members of the senate.

Federal aid is the knife killing the country.

That money should stay at local levels where locals get to decide how it is spent.

Instead we have the Fed bribing the whores to implement their agenda with our money.

I't our damned money, they don't make any they just steal.

Oh. He'll get whatever he wants then. Republicans are not Republicans. They are merely the controlled opposition wing of the Establishment Uniparty.
