I wonder if they dump treasuries it will make the bond market go nutz
Bond market sky rocketing right now is scary.
Fewer buyers are buying what was the world’s safest asset. Normally when the economy is going tits up people flock to that, not away.
It’s a scary sign.

These people really are clueless. They have no understanding of basic business.

And Europe, and practically every other economy of note.

The United States market cannot be replaced. Look at the numbers. The US has all of the leverage in this fight.

We don’t really know where this ends right now, but markets need stability.
If China is more stable a partner than us, then we will be avoided.

It’s easier to marginalize us than you think.

Correct. Nobody knows where it will go.

Wrong. China is the world’s bully. They’re taking over countries everyday exploiting them while the US gives aid. China can easily be replaced with India or any other Asian country. One will step up and take our money.

Anyone else think this is the end goal? To collapse China economically the same way Reagan did the USSR?
Also think there’s a lot of shite China has been doing behind the scenes we haven’t been told about yet in particularly with Canada.
Also I’m convinced China released Covid intentionally and took part in helping rig the 2020 election.
Can’t directly confront them due to nukes but we can frick them hard economically.

Your insights are wasted here. You should really be studying economics in Chicago, New York, or London. We don’t deserve such brilliant analysis.

And we have jingoistic morons in here welcoming the economic destruction. Someone stable needs to take the wheel. This isn’t winning. Everyone loses in this game.

No they wouldn’t. That’s silly talk. You have countries used to getting their way because they can blackmail and bribe politicians. Without the US, and our defense and guidance, and without us importing their goods, they collapse. The US is the global economy. If you cut that out along with all the other benefits most of our trade partners have gotten, they crash and burn.
The US holds the cards.
