It's not as easy as you might think....and it has been tried either with napalm like bombs and herbicides ,etc. It's a stubborn plant that recovers quite well. The environment is almost perfect. Humidity levels are optimal. Short of multiple Moabs dropped into each and every valley where it is grown it becomes a fool's errand.....plus you have fair sized town/ cities right in the way.
