Why wouldn’t we shoot their missiles down?

Are you telling me we aren’t locked and loaded with a thousand patriot rockets ready to shoot down so much as a pebble flying over the Iranian border? We’re just going to let them land by our base?

If we can hit a missile with a missile we can also probably tell when theirs aren't going to hit anything anyway.

At least one likely was. It’s very hard to shoot down a ballistic missile and the systems we have may not have been in position. The ones we do have (at least deployed in the area) also aren’t perfect (obviously).

Do we have he technology there to do so? Here’s an iron dome around Iraq but I have never heard of the same around Iraq. Shooting a missile isn’t the same as shooting a plane.

Don't we have lasers now that can do that more efficiently than Patriot's?

Obviously we can’t stop missiles like I thought we can. All that BS about America being safe is BS. Everyboby has subs that can carry nukes undetected to our borders and strike our cities. We would probably wipe out who did it quickly.

Kinetic weapons are very tough to defend against, and as they increase in speed the difficulty goes up exponentially. We have the best tech but I think you’re overestimating our capabilities.

Patriot missles are expensive as hell. The ballistic missiles they shot at us are cheap and very inaccurate. Why waist the money when they are basically shooting in the dark?

Never saw it Nutz. 8 minute differential in posts.
Maybe my post took 8 minutes to confirm my research with a recognized sauce instead of posting some BS link. Knowing the technology is there, I happened to read through several and disregard looking them for the proper link to support my assertions. That took approximately 8 minutes I would think.
