They probably would have joined forces but the money makers in the establishment GOP hate Trump and they have purchased DeSantis. The GOP donor class is relying on DeSantis to take out Trump. It won't work.

Apparently the money is TOO enticing for Ron to turn down. I understand. He is not a rich man but now he has a chance to bank some generational wealth. I understand the enticement.

DeSantis is not an A type alpha personality. He’s a beta putting on an alpha tough guy routine.

Donald Trump is the definition of an alpha male. Mixed with charisma that sucks the air out of every room he walks in.

In what world would this work?

In what world would Trump accept a VP role?

RDS gains nothing by joining forces with Trump.

If they win, 2028 is a DEM bloodbath and RDS is done.

If they lost, either Trump would run in 2028 and call RDS a loser and reason he lost in 2024, or the whole GOP infrastructure revolts against anything associated with Trump (after like 8+ years of losing).

That's why RDS only has a shot in 2024 b/c it's all over after that.

There is no such thing as a guaranteed GOP victory.

Trump wouldn’t share the stage.

So you think the most successful conservative governor in the US will destroy his national prospects for...reasons?

To get MAGA support as a 1-term VP at best?

So you are assuming that Ron can become president without MAGA?

So if they won and hes VP your stance is that he wouldnt cruise to Victory as Prez for another 8yrs.

But somehow going against the Maga vote is his best shot to win in 2024

Why would he? It would be like stepping in dogshit and then attending a formal banquet. The stink of redneck dogshit and losing is on trump.

No. I'm discussing the hypothetical of this thread (Trump as President, RDS as VP).

Winning MAGA support as a 1-term VP is worthless for his Presidential ambitions

He wouldn't have a chance in 8 years, b/c he'd be too toxic nationally for his association w Trump.

It's his only shot. Fate gave him one window.

On a side note your sig pic kind of weirds me out. The AI generated policeman in red...his arms are tiny. Almost too small to be true.
