Why would any Republican candidate answer questions from the media?

They give Biden every upper on the planet to stand there for 5 minutes.. answer a few softball questions and tell the press to GTFO
All after Trump was relentlessly grilled by the same media for 5 years straight, knowing they would spin everything he said to make him look bad, and yet he still took 700% more questions than Biden
What is the point? They hate you and are actively trying to help the opposition. Why not just take a couple questions and then say frick you its time for an ice cream cone and my afternoon nap?

You only answer in interviews and demand your own film crew to keep them honest. They don't care about facts. Treat them the way they deserve to be treated.

You can’t handle dishonest people who ignore the facts they want to ignore, operate in an alternate reality, and ask loaded questions with parameters defined as they want them defined.

We basically have no one fighting for us. There are maybe 5 people in all of Washington that aren't in on the take, and 1 governor. The rest don't give a shite

All news that's controlled by New York city economic imperialists is shaped to fit their goals. I wouldn't give them the time of day. I'd hand pick which media I would allow in the press room. The msm would get mad and be insulting, but their going to be that way anyway. What is it the daytime talk show hand-wringers say, distance yourself from toxic relationships.

The only upside I can think of is that at least they get some version of their side out. A refusal to speak to the media would be used as a tool by them as well to smear so why not at least get some air time for yourself out there.

I wish they would bypass the media. In this day of social media it may be better to just talk directly to the people.

The recent defamation lawsuits from Rittenhouse, Sandmann and now Trump and many others is forcing change.
They are squirming, but changing. It is funny that when I was young, the press said whatever they wanted about people and got away with it. Then in the 90s something changed and they started with the annoying word "alleged" on stories even when the person was caught red handed. I think it might have been due to loss to Richard Jewel over being falsely blamed for Olympic Park bombing. Then in 2010+ the alleged disappeared. Now, after Sandmann and Rittenhouse, it is reappearing.
We have to sue these unscrupulous, fakenews outlets and continue to force them to do what is right or go out of business.

Well in Trump's case he isn't a fricking bitch, can handle himself, and doesn't give a frick. It is what it is, but it's not his fault the MSM are fricking scumbags.
