Because so far the Dems haven't "won" their push for Trump's financials. If they are finally successful (I will view it as successful on their part once the records are turned over), then you can turn the tables and make the push.
If the GOP does it now, and the Dems turn it over; the president will have been set by the GOP. Which would in turn weaken Trump's stance and increase the likelihood of the Dems success.

When someone is doing something that is wrong, and using it for political reasons, You should not follow up with doing something that is wrong to use it for political reasons.
Instead you should do the right thing and fight them tooth a nail.

Because the Dims are using house oversight as they're reason for pestering Trump and they know he's guilty of violating Swamp Decorum by whipping Hilldawg's phat azz so that alone is grounds for harassing the POTUS.
