my god you are ignorant Roger. What I do know, as a former Air Traffic Controller, is that it had to either be gross incompetence, or intentional. What I do know is that it is one of these two things...weather did not play a role, as it was a clear night and the pilot had already given visual notice of the jet. What I do know is that there was an sudden radical turn in the last few moments, with an altitude change. So I really don't care who was in charge, I have zero sympathy for that person.

Could be wrong, but my guess it that they know what is going on, and are trying to get all the facts before releasing. The longer it takes, the more it looks to be intentional imo, which was my gut after the first time I saw the rapid turn and altitude change at the end. Either way, my heart goes out to the families as this could have been avoided.

While my interaction with FAA air traffic controllers has been basically talking to them on the radio, dealing with FAA maintenance and operations personnel for over 30 years, I can guarantee you they do hire retards.

I took the FAA test in the 80s. Only person in the room to finish it, got a 92 and still didnt get hired.
I dont know if things have changed, but the FAA exam wasnt easy at all.
