Without reading the article I will always believe Trump was told without a Pence type VP he wouldn't get out of the convention.

Pence helped nervous people accept the ticket and I actually like the combo of Trump/Pence.

Pence is the Yin to Trump’s Yang. Where They really mesh well together.

This is full-on Q-tardness.

IDK, just have heard he is a pedo. No evidence presented to me. But early on Pence had something (cant remember what, trump poster or something) placed in front of pences chair that mad me think it was a warning to him.

Pence could be trump 'keeping his enemies close' as we have seen he is pron to do.

It is just a cautionary thought. If someone can post that picture that would help.

To answer that I say look back at the last 4 years. Damn near all of Trump's cabinet betrayed him at one time or another. Pence has been a loyal soldier and defended Trump from the beginning.

I can't think of one time he waffled against supporting Trump, and that makes him unique among pretty much all Washington republicans.

Now that doesn't mean I support Pence in 2024. Just because he is a loyal second man doesn't mean he has the fire to win on his own terms. Honestly I kind of doubt it but will certainly hold my judgement to see how he does in the debates etc. He has earned that at least.

i still think Gingrich should've gotten a cabinet position.
Newt probably had no desire for a cabinet position other than VP

I wonder what kind of baggage Newt had for Trump not to elect him? Seems like he was the first choice.

Chris Christie was never going to get the nod because Trump knew his true character.

Newt was probably a Me Too nightmare waiting to happen if they had chosen him

Pence was definitely the safest pick

Didn’t Newt leave his first wife (as she was dying of cancer) for his current wife?
