The NFL and NBA are not free market businesses. They are exempt by Congress from Anti-Trust laws. They can fix prices and keep out any competitor.
Their version of AA is a first round draft pick or lottery.
The offices have an unofficial "Rooney Rule." See the hiring of Chucky at Raiderland, and having to then go interview some black "applicants."

Can you imagine the outrage if Harvard was 95% white and asian? BLM would invade Boston.
Scalia was totally right. Propping up blacks to high powered institutions is a lose lose. The institution loses out on more deserving candidates. Blacks can't handle the rigors of Harvard and possibly end up dropping out.

What I don't understand was the very aggressive push a few years back to "get more African Americans playing in MLB" and saying there "must" be more African American MLB players because there "aren't enough" but if I were to demand the NBA or NFL have more White or Asian players I would be called a racist bigot.
