If Iran had a nuke, they’d have used it. Not saying they’re not trying to build one. But I’m pretty sure they don’t have one yet.

Because it's a once fooled, twice shy premise. Did Iraq ever have WMD's?

The problem is the Iranian Shia theocracy keeps poking the Bear across the ME, not just Israel. Given nukes as a defense, the exporting of insurgents, terrorists, etc across the ME would only worsen.

It's why most of Iran's neighbors remain fairly quiet about the Israeli attacks. The chance of nukes in the hands of that regime simply is not worth the risk.

Yes, they once did, in fact they used them in the Iran Iraq War in the 1980s.

They had chemical and biological weapons programs and had achieved chemical warheads by the 1980s.

He used chemical weapons on Kurdish civilians.

That's all factual.

What's also factual was that they were destroyed post Gulf I, and the Bush II administration was dead wrong.

But yes, Iran is trying to build the bomb.

I don't care if Iran gets a nuke. I don't believe they would attempt to use a nuke on the USA if they had one.

This isn’t true.

They dont make enough to have built the military they have on their industry alone

Agreed. And if I were Iran, an attack like this would definitely motivate me to get a nuke.

The only difference is that the US was backing Iraq against Iran when they were using their chemical weapons.

Right. No one here knows whether they actually are really close or if this is Iraq 2.0. Yet people have chosen a side and are getting hysterical about it like pre-teen girls at a Taylor Swift concert. It's bizarre (and frankly, quite disconcerting) to see so many grown men being ruled by their emotions up in here.

60% enrichment...90% needed for a weapon.

If what is being said is true.

But here is the thing. Even at 90% enrichment they're still not "weeks away" from having a weaponized bomb.

Bibi claimed they were at 60% enrichment in 2012. So either they have made 0 progress during that time or someone is full of shite.
