I know a LOT of vets both family and everyday friends and golf partners. I can tell you lots of negatives about vets. But I would never say that they 'act like they know more about politics.'
It may just seem that way to you because you know very little about politics.

Since neither of us is old enough to have served in Vietnam...I was there too.

On the Federal level, I prefer to support combat veterans because I know they know the true horrors of war and should be less likely to send our troops in harms way for political gains. At least, I like to think so.
