As long as it is after about 8:30 tomorrow I don't care. My son will be home on leave. Hasn't had leave in three years because of the pace of ops.
I do care and we should not send troops, but my point is let me have Thanksgiving.

The congressman from Ohio does not want to send troops to fight in Ukraine. He asked that we have enough troops to advise, monitor and to provide intelligence. He also wants Ukraine to have lethal weapons. I disagreed with Tucker. Where would the US draw a line against Russia reconstruction the Warsaw Pact? Do we let Ukraine go without comment. Do we then let the Russians take Poland back?
Tucker's southern border invasion and using our military there is a straw man argument. The Biden administration is in charge of that and there is nothing every last Republican legislator can do to change it. Elections have consequences. The two situations are not remotely equivalent. I'd like Trump to be in office to stop the southern border stuff. And Trump also was in favor of providing assistance to Ukraine.

My concern about this thread is to a T most all of you fall in line with Tucker, no questions asked. With regard to Ukraine, Tucker is wrong.

If we had an actual President who was competent, I would at least study all this a bit deeper. We are in no shape to pull off anything like this at the moment.

Well Trump was competent, and the Democrat leaders running the country behind this imbecile aren’t, so there’s that. Trump opened up the rules of engagement so the troops could kick arse and leave, this imbecile would handcuff any troops, Obama has already shown that.

Maybe to start a war with Russia so the rich politicians can get richer? You know use up all them bombs and expensive rockets, and stuff, so DOD contractors can make more. So that DOD defense contractors located in congressional and senatorial voting districts can make huge campaign contributions to ultra-rich politicians.
Ah yes, nothing stimulates the economy and lines the pockets of rich politicians better than a good ole war.
It's called the Military-Industrial Complex

We could’ve easily end up with a war, because someone did something stupid. But even without one, Ukraine is incredibly corrupt, and so it’s the perfect place to send aid money.
Everyone, from our politicians, to our defense contractors, will be able to steal at will.

You think Ukraine is weak?
You think Ukraine is game?
How about I take your little board AND SMASH IT!

In 2014, the Obama administration aided in a coup that resulted in a Russian invasion of Crimea and a subsequent referendum that saw Ukraine lose a territory it had sovereignty over since the 1950's. Can we stop with the idea that American military and intelligence meddling automatically makes things better? It creates chaos. But hell, that's the point.

Oil that we can’t produce after the crime of the century. Don’t worry. The outcome has already been agreed upon.

I think an argument could be made in the past that we were for freedom and even morality, especially in light of the death camps of WWII. America is no longer moral and is against freedom of its own citizens, so what good could we do half way around the world? Perhaps calling for troops on the southern border doesn’t make sense and calling for the feds to do their job does, but the argument of getting our own house in order holds, imo.
