Fair point. But I’ve also seen posters make the argument that candidness and truth is what “spurs people to action” and “gets things done.” I’m challenging that contention.
As to your point, if I’m meeting with the leadership of our practice, I’m still not calling any under-performing subordinates retards. All that does is make me look like an arse.
At the end of the day, this is going to be turned into a much bigger deal than it actually is by the media but I still think some degree of criticism is fair. I can still agree with Trump’s general policies without agreeing with every little thing he says and does. Idk why some posters feel it’s their job to defend every little thing.

Again, I doubt this is anything new, but people are desperate to nail Trump.

There are ways to do things.
You don't call someone a pig - you describe their surroundings as resembling a pigsty. Address conduct and performance, NOT make derogatory attacks on the person himself.
Now, if you can do that in a fair, evenhanded way, folks sometimes cannot see their own flaws - helping them see those flaws is the key to any improvement. Pretending everything is hunky dory when you're living in a shithole, pretty much guarantees continued shitholeness.
