He has voted to fund Ukraine and voted against Scott. He seems to be the definition of a RINO in one of the most red states. Maybe there’s something I’m missing?

This is a state which had Trent Lott and Thad Cochran as its senators. Nothing new for them.

Pretty much every southern Republican is a Democrat with an R next to their name so they can win elections.

I don't think people in these local county party groups realize how much they're controlled by the uniparty. "support the incumbent" during primaries is the mantra because they've convinced these groups that they have the best chance of beating the other party. Always on defense, never on offense. These local groups need to start working together to tell these elected officials how they have to vote to get local support for their next primary election in each county/parish.

Good Ole Boy system is alive and well in Mississippi. Tater is fairly MAGA and has done a decent job, but our local system fights hard against any outsiders.

In 2014, Chad McDaniel had Thad Cochran beat, but it was within run-off margins. So Thad Cochran basically went the democrats and started fear mongering them to vote for him in the run-off. Open-primary State and all.

That race was a precursor to why MAGA happened IMHO.

The blatant pandering by the GOPe to the Dems to save their own guys from their constituents pissed off a LOT of people.

No but have lived here for a while now. Maybe I’m just isolated in my medical field circle.

I despise him after shutting down the Rez during Covid and tampering with the cannabis initiative

I’ve had interactions with Roger and he is the definition of a chameleon. He publicly talks a big game about his support for DJT but behind closed doors runs him down to his Grove buddies. He’s a perfect encapsulation of a GOP rhino. I love Trump but was very frustrated when he threw his support behind Roger this past spring

I voted against him in the primary

Pretty much impossible to raise enough awareness organically to primary these lizards. Need Elon to fund an ousting campaign. I’m itching to get rid of him, almost voted for the democrat against him I hate him so much

Everyone complains about politicians until you bring up their Rep and then all the sudden it’s
“Oh..it’s not my Rep. He/She is doing all they can! Haha

I wrote in a vote rather than vote for him. Doesn’t represent me. Every election though they are able to talk the opponent up as a whack a doo and it works. Rinse wash repeat. Much easier to win a primary off name recognition and a democrat won’t win a promary

I definitely agree.

I'm hoping we start seeing some real change soon. Mississippians are pretty Pro-MAGA. Would be nice to see us move on from Good Ole Boys, but might not happen until Haley Barbour is dead and gone. He controls the purse strings in Mississippi.

I could understand that. I think he's been fairly decent by and large, but I'd rather have someone outside the system next. Even though that's highly unlikely.

We need Scot Pressler types in all these states with RINOs and have them go around and inform people how f'ing bad their Senator or representatives are.

I want someone to get Lyndsey Graham out.
