re: Why does Trump want McCarthy

I think it's a game of illumination and exposure. We saw how crazy Nancy behaved in regards to the Jan 6th false flag. Could be that private comms with McCarthy revealed some secret negotiations, but looking at Trump's endorsement and appointment at other key positions have put them into a light they weren't prepared for. If the latter is the case, McCarthy is going to face a monstrous amount of turmoil coming out of the gate, especially in regards to infiltration of our government by foreign influence. Will he err in the interest of protecting some special interest or influencer that we don't know about? As they say, the cover-up is often more dangerous than the crime itself. That's my uninformed guess. Edit to add: there were some concessions made to get the votes; I don't know the specifics, but would guess some of them might become significant after the dust settles. Getting the Republican led Congress to begin operations in a timely manner seemed to be a driving force to closure as well. Saw some stuff where these Speaker of the House negotiations in past history (1800s) went on for several weeks, maybe not the best strategy in modern times.

Because he is not really against the swamp. That's it. Quit making excuses. He surrounded himself with it during his term and he continues to support it.

Trump is no longer Trump. I voted for him, but he loves swamp.

When he endorsed 99 year old swamp creature Thad Cochran over Chris McDaniels in the Mississippi Senate race prior to 2016, I knew then he wasn’t to be as reliable as he was portrayed.

McDaniels ran America First campaign while Cochran, who could barely walk or talk, hid. It was unreal.

The fact that he constantly tries to pander to Maggie Haberman and Olivia Nuzzi should tell you everything about where his priorities are. These people are NEVER going to like you, Donald. They hate you just like suburban women hate you and they want to destroy you.

Ron DeSantis would NEVER sit down and play footsie with Maggie Haberman, someone who invented the Russia hoax and whose number one goal is to take him down.
